Pharma IQ & IQPC Call for Nominations for the Cold Chain for Pharmaceuticals Excellence Awards

Pharma IQ and IQPC, are currently accepting applications for the inaugural Cold Chain for Pharmaceuticals Excellence Awards.The Cold Chain for Pharmaceuticals Excellence Awards have been established to honor, recognize and promote true best practices in Cold Chain technology for distribution in pharmaceuticals/biotechnology industry.
“Through our in-depth research, we found that manufacturers and shippers of pharmaceuticals are facing increasingly demanding logistical challenges when setting up distribution processes” said Kerri Hughes, Conference Director, Pharma IQ, “Whether it is transportation of raw material between manufacturing plants or distribution of finalized products to customers, a stable temperature is crucial. Pharmaceutical companies have put in great investment and efforts in ensuring a seamless, and safe cold chain distribution channel for their products. The Cold Chain for Pharmaceuticals Excellence Awards will honor those who have contributed in this area which benefited both their company and the industry.”
To identify the organizations and individuals that exemplify these qualities, Pharma IQ has enlisted a prestigious list of cold chain experts and leaders to accurately and objectively evaluate the true effectiveness of world-class technology implementations. The winners will no doubt set the standards of excellence for all Pharmaceutical Organizations.
The awards will be announced and given to the 2005 winners at the Awards Luncheon to be held on October 18th, 2005 in Philadelphia, PA, in association with the 3rd Annual Cold Chain Distribution for Pharmaceuticals conference, the industry's premier Conference & Exhibition devoted entirely to Cold Chain Excellence.
First Place and Honorable Mentions will be awarded in each of the following categories:
Most Innovative Use of Technology (practitioner) This category will examine:
• Well prepared vision/strategy, with execution
• Creativity/Originality-Why is this application innovative?
• Demonstrated ROI for the function/process/area involved as well as measurable non-financial results
• Strategic business alignment
Cold Chain Leader of the Year (practitioner) This category will examine:
• Overall strategy behind the Cold Chain program and how it contributes to the overall success of the organization.
• Evidence of a strategic plan for future development of the Cold Chain Program.
• The cost and process efficiencies gained, return on investment, changes to the culture and why the Cold Chain program has been successful.
• Key leadership support and involvement in the Cold Chain strategy.
• What makes the Cold Chain program different from others.
Best Cold Chain Technology Provider (vendor) This category will examine:
• Development adherence to accepted technology standards -versus proprietary tools/techniques/approaches
• Creativity/Originality-Why is this solution innovative?
• Document measurable productivity gains from usage (testimonials)
• Demonstrate how ROI has been achieved by end users
• Document productivity improvement
The top three entries in each category will be denoted as finalists and will be contacted in advance of the Awards Luncheon.
An objective panel of judges will evaluate and score each application. This panel contains leading experts and practitioners in the cold chain space and judging organizations. Winners will be highlighted and promoted at the 3rd Annual Cold Chain Distribution for Pharmaceuticals event, also additional coverage may also be provided to all award recipients.
