Only AVIcode Intercept Studio 2.1 Provides Graphical Correlation of Resource Calls Across Components, Systems, and Sites

There are several challenges associated with troubleshooting performance issues in enterprise applications, because today's applications span over multiple components, systems, and sites, and because the performance of applications in production varies depending on resources and environment state. Application performance tuning is not a simple as it was when applications had monolithic architectures. Distributed applications are affected not only by the performance of the application server, but also by the environment, including the state of the network and components that over which you do not have control. Intercept Studio meets these challenges by providing a "Graphical Event Chain", which helps developers quickly identify the precise system components needing optimization. Only AVIcode has this unique tool, which detects slow business transactions that span multiple servers and then visually represents the entire system in an interactive "Visio-like' presentation. Both applications and resource calls (such as Web Services, .NET Remoting, SQL and Oracle calls) are represented in the chain. Each node in the chain represents either a calling or receiving function during the transaction, and each contains a hyperlink, which will open the event details for that node, regardless of its geographic location. Visual indicators mark the critical path in the chain being displayed. This path contains the slowest thread in chain, and the slowest node is marked with a heavy red border.
Intercept Studio Version 2.1 introduces many other new features that make application monitoring easier than ever. Developers save precious time by eliminating the effort and distraction of having to insert exception handling instrumentation code into their business logic and to deploy a new release every time they need to expand the depth of collected error information. If remote software developers are used on a project, Intercept Studio greatly reduces the cost of supporting issue resolution by automatically notifying them about errors from a remote production facility. Finally, it makes all parties more accountable for software quality and provides unparalleled visibility into software issues to technology managers at all levels of the enterprise.
