Shiekh Shoes to Offer Limited-Edition Air Jordan XX3 Shoe

January 25, 2008 - Ontario, California - Shiekh Shoes has announced that its downtown San Francisco store will be one of only 23 retail locations in the United States to offer the limited-edition Nike Air Jordan XX3 basketball shoe on its launch date.

Designed by legendary Nike artist Tinker Hatfield in collaboration with Michael Jordan, the XX3 commemorates the basketball star's famous jersey number while celebrating the 23rd year of Nike’s Jordan Brand division. Featuring IPS cushioning and a carbon-fiber shank, the XX3 sports an outsole pattern based on Jordan's own thumb print. The innovative shoe is also the first by Nike to incorporate sustainability in development and design by minimizing waste and utilizing environmentally-friendly materials wherever possible.

After nearly 20 years of selling the popular Air Jordan line, Shiekh Shoes owner Shiekh Ellahi was excited to learn about the new iteration's eco-friendly aspects.

"This is the first shoe from Jordan Brand that is environmentally friendly. The shoes are made so that they’re disposable without harming the environment," said Shiekh.

Only 529 pairs of the limited-edition XX3 will be available on January 25, 2008, at a suggested retail price of $230. The shoe will be offered by 23 select U.S. retail stores, each of which will have only 23 pairs for sale. Shiekh's flagship San Francisco store, located at 929 Market Street in downtown, was chosen by Jordan Brand to participate in the XX3's launch as one of those elite retail outlets.

Jordan Brand will launch additional versions of the XX3 in the coming months, including an All-Star release on Saturday, February 16, 2008 and a nationwide release on Saturday, February 23, 2008, both at a suggested retail price of $185.
