Keeping an “Eye” on the time

In a joint development with Human Recognition Systems, the only independent multi-biometric specialist in the UK, and Iridian Technologies, the holder of worldwide patents on the core concepts and technologies behind iris recognition, this leading edge technology will be integrated with the already successful TimeManager application. Developed exclusively by Human Recognition Systems, TimeManager is the only Time and Attendance application on the market built specifically around biometric technology.Simon Meyer, Operations Director at Human Recognition Systems said, “Given what clients are saying to us, we felt it was the right time to introduce the Panasonic Iris Technology to our TimeManager product, which will now be the first multi-biometric T&A product on the market”. He also added, “It is also important to point out some of the other aspects of the solution which is getting customers excited, such as the ability to have remote sites communicating to a central server. Businesses are moving back towards a centralised model and our technology and solutions allow this to be possible without any compromise”.
“This move highlights where we want the product to continue developing; to provide the customer with a range of options to suit their circumstances and budget, while still not compromising on security or quality. There are many different solutions out there in the market today, but our intention is to lead the field in the successful deployment of biometrics in both Time and Attendance and Access Control solutions”, said Neil Norman, founder and managing director, “Unfortunately, we have found that the heightened interest in biometrics brings with it a large number of bad deployments of the technology which does impact a client’s opinion of biometrics in general. If implemented with skill, knowledge and experience, biometric technology can introduce businesses to a new way of doing things: a faster, more secure, more convenient means of proving who people are”.
The range of clients working with Human Recognition Systems seems to prove this philosophy holds true. Over the last year BNFL, Next Group, Carillion and Manchester Airport have been added to the client list. Neil continues, “New clients need to see the technology in action, to prove it can work in real life environments. What we can offer is practical, real life implementation experience across a range of clients, solutions and technologies”.
