The Bermuda Triangle has always been known as one of the world’s greatest mysteries. But, there is a greater perplexity… mankind! Eino K. Nurminen has done an impressive job on exploring joys and pitfalls of international love and relationships in his new book Bermuda Triangle—Selection of Short Stories (978-1-929956-14-2, Trade paperback, 272 pages, 51/2 x 81/2, $15.95).

Bermuda Triangle is an intriguing medley of thirteen short stories, many based on actual facts of the author’s life as an immigrant in the early 60s of the USA and Canada. Through his eyes, we see American history evolve. Life is full of opportunities, just as so many of our forefathers had. And talk about personal incidents! For a young man in the new country, life was not only hard work and despair, it was also fun and a bit of sex here and there. No, he does not bathe in immoral events of American newcomers’ lives. He is, after all, a shy Finn. His stories are about American life, whether it happens at the stormy waters of the Bermuda Triangle—at a truck stop where he must escape a homicidal truck stop owner—in the privacy of a big city immigrant's massage parlor—or during a riot at a Canadian mine. But when he dives into sexual highlights, his characters are as steamy as a Finnish sauna!

Author Nurminen’s way of writing, his range of fiction, is overwhelming. Once you start reading one of his stories, you cannot stop. And then you must start the next one. His narrative handling of human relations and mixture of cultures is so strong and vivid that surely his characters and storylines will be the bases of future movies.

This is Eino K. Nurminen’s fourth book. Bermuda Triangle is receiving national and international acclaim. His first selection of short stories about colorful immigrant characters was published in Finland two years ago and it got excellent response.
