Bridgewater Place is Leeds’ tallest landmark and it’s on the ground floor of this building that Thornton projects (www.thorntonprojects.co.uk) will create a modern, fun and funky eating environment to launch this exciting new concept. Designs have been approved and work is set to begin in early January.

Through their comprehensive design service (http://www.thorntonprojects.co.uk/design.htm), and aided by Create Space’s clear vision, Thornton provided 3d visualizations of the retail fit out scheme in advance to make planning and costing the full turnkey fit out solution easier.

The space will comprise stainless steel food preparation areas, refrigerated food display cabinets, funky furniture, graphics and signage to windows, and an attractive lighting scheme. Hygienic laminated coverings will be used and Thornton Projects will also liaise with catering equipment suppliers and project manages the installation and commissioning of this equipment within the overall fit out project. Thornton’s recently acquired joinery shop will also develop a stunning bespoke counter installation.

Following completion of the Leeds outlet early in 2008, roll out of the Create project is planned to continue by the opening of an additional larger 1,500sq ft retail outlet in Liverpool in March 2008.
