ATLANTA - December 24, 2007 - The Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (AGLCC) has announced that the 10th Annual Community Awards Dinner will be held in the Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium on Thursday, March 20th, 2008. “Step into the Spotlight - 2008” will be the first LGBT community event held at the Georgia Aquarium. This year’s event is shaping up to be a spectacular evening. In addition to the dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck, attendees will receive a private tour of the Aquarium. The evening will also feature a VIP reception hosted by Korbel champagne, new community awards, a silent auction and special entertainment. An after party will be held at WetBar and for those wanting to spend the night, the newly renovated Ellis Hotel in downtown will serve as the host hotel.
"AGLCC has seen such tremendous growth the past several years. Receiving the 2007 Chamber of the Year award and having our 10th Annual Community Awards event at the Georgia Aquarium are testaments as to how far we’ve come,” said Carla Corley, president of the AGLCC.
