Renovations at Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott Update Rooms and Suites

Newark, NJ - December 14, 2007 — Guests checking into the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott will find a newly renovated hotel to welcome them. According to General Manager John Magnifico, the Northern NJ property has just concluded a three-month long, $8.3 million renovation project and guests will find a beautiful new look to the hotel which originally opened in 1984.

RENOVATION DETAILS
The hotel’s renovation centered on enhancing the guest room and suite experience. Each of the 591 hotel rooms and suites were completely renovated with new carpet, wallpaper, light fixtures, sconces, valances, and curtains. In keeping with the hotel's airport setting, aviation-themed artwork is featured throughout the accommodations.

The bathrooms were also renovated featuring new granite countertops, new showerhead fixtures, new shower curtains with curved rods, new mirrors, new wallpaper, and a new aromatherapy amenity package.
Other details include the installation of new hallway carpeting, wallpaper, and light fixtures, new elevator landings with new furniture and fixtures, and a new keycard security system in the elevators.

The hotel's Concierge Lounge was also renovated with new furniture, carpeting, and flat screen televisions.

BRAND-NEW FITNESS CENTER
The airport hotel's fitness center was also renovated at a cost of $150,000, incorporating all new single station strength equipment, separating the fitness area and swimming pool, enhancing climate control, installing environmentally conscious recycled rubber flooring, providing 24-hour access, and doubling the square footage to 1,500. The restrooms were also completely redone.
