depedo.com has released the beta version of its site which focuses on connecting people with businesses in the nightlife industry. Depedo utilizes a revolutionary model which allows businesses to participate with their customers instead of obtrusively marketing to them. Depedo gives owners and managers of bars, clubs, lounges, and restaurants the functionality to expand their online presence within a web community.“There are several keys to the success of our company,” said Zach Randall, co-founder and president of depedo.com. “One of them is creating a community environment online where businesses which thrive in physical communities can also exist. We encourage businesses to utilize the site to brand their own image, communicate with their market, and exist with their competitors much the same way as they do offline.”
depedo.com also integrates with Facebook to allow users to display the events they are attending on their profile. Facebookers can see where their friends are going this weekend without having to call them up or send out a sms.
Here is how it works:
Users can sign up at depedo.com, create a small profile, connect with people and places, and browse events and drink specials in Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins. They will soon be able to select the top places they tend to frequent and view those establishments’ events and drink specials in a simplified fashion. Users can choose to attend any of the events.
Users can add the depedo.com Facebook application which will automatically display the events they are attending as well as their friends who are going.
“We are continuously expanding the site as well as the application in order to better the users’ experience and increase the sites ease of use,” stated Brian Mullin, Co-Founder and President of the site. “Our long term goal is completely saturate the entertainment industry across the country and into other parts of the world.”
Once depedo builds its user base, the company plans on utilizing their streaming technology to provide “live scenes” of destinations on the site. In essence bars, clubs, and lounges will have live cameras broadcast on depedo.com. Feeds will be accessible via PC or mobile connections. The company hopes to capitalize on the increasing use of mobile internet to provide users with real time information.
