When Dave Austin became the exclusive distributor of the patented SureHands patient lift system in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, he never realized that he was about to embark on a career that would transform him into a consultant and advocate for persons with disabilities.

Almost 15 years ago, when Austin founded Lift & Care Systems in Lakeville, MA, he set out to explore the market for SureHands ceiling mounted lifts. What he found instead was an amazing community of persons with mobility problems who had varying levels of needs requiring an array of customized solutions.
