RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Dr. William F. Greenlee, president and CEO of The Hamner Institutes For Health Sciences, an independent, nonprofit organization that offers an open, collaborative and cross-disciplinary approach to translational research to enhance the value of the investment in biomedical sciences, has announced that Julianne Hall has joined the organization as a research investigator for the Division of Computational Biology. In this position, Hall will be working in molecular pharmacology conducting breast cancer research. Through this research, she hopes to provide the data necessary for pharmaceutical companies to develop new drugs for the treatment of breast cancer.Hall, who has been involved with breast cancer research for more than a decade, also currently serves as adjunct assistant professor of biology at Elon University. Past industry-related positions include research scientist and pharmacology junior faculty member at Duke University, as well as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).
