With Cambar’s help, Connect And Join runs a secure online communications and activities site that connects families around the world who are separated by military deployment while serving their country. Cambar Solutions is leading the architecture, design, development, and deployment of CAJ’s new website, set for final launch in 2nd Quarter 2008. On the CAJ site, family and friends build and maintain a family password-protected website and create digital scrapbooks of “Life at Home” for their deployed loved one. Communication can include: writing e-letters, photo galleries that can include children’s hand drawn art, event calendars, computer and non-computer based arts and crafts, and recording and sharing audio journals. All content on the “Life at Home” site can be saved and archived to preserve family history. There are no public areas, advertising or pop-ups where the family builds their “Life at Home” site.

Cambar Solutions will add digital scrapbooking, an E-Letters function that will allow the Soldier to have the letter mailed to their child/children, online photo ordering, an expanded calendar journal, new colorful templates for scrapbooks/journals, and Teen Scene [a private blog between teens and parent(s)] to the new version of the Connect and Join site. Furthermore, the website will include how-to projects such as sewing and quilting, a new arts and crafts supply connection and an art gallery for children. “We are very fortunate to be working with Cambar Solutions.
