GoAntiques.com provides advanced buy and sell information through RSS feeds

Antique buyers and sellers can now get advanced notices of new inventory and items sold through an enhanced feature announced today by GoAntiques.com™ (www.GoAntiques.com). The largest virtual network for buying and selling antiques and collectibles now utilizes RSS feeds to announce new inventory before it is generally made available to others through GoAntiques.com’s website or FIND item alerts. Antiques recently sold at retail or auction are also publicized through RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds, thereby providing the most current information possible on the status of specific items.
“Our RSS feeds let people jump on bargains before others see them,” said Jim Kamnikar, president and chief executive officer of GoAntiques.com, explaining that merchandise published through the feeds will not appear on GoAntiques.com until the nightly database update. “The feeds also let people see what’s selling and at what price, thereby getting almost real-time prices realized. What better way to keep your finger on the pulse of what is selling online?”
He said RSS feeds are free to GoAntiques.com users and can be easily added to a My Yahoo! page, a Google homepage or read with an RSS reader. Visit www.goantiques.com/rss and simply click the appropriate button.
RSS feeds have become increasingly popular for publishing frequently updated content, such as news headlines, blog entries or items that will eventually become part of a larger database. A key benefit is that RSS feeds are broadcast, making it easier to keep up with favorite websites or larger bodies of information instead of checking manually.
