27Reasons Charitable Foundation is designed to teach children and teenagers the growth mechanics of self discipline and empowerment regardless of socioeconomic status or learning impairment. Our organization mission has one goal to: build dreams one heart at a time.™

Founded by a phenomenal entrepreneur, and pro athlete David Macklin who
currently plays for the WASHINGTON REDSKINS; and played in 14 games with seven starts at cornerback last season with the Cardinals recording 33 total tackles, one interception, and six passes defended.

During his career, Macklin has played in 110 games with 75 starts and recorded 352 tackles and 14 interceptions over his seven years in the league.
Originally drafted in the third round of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Penn State by Indianapolis, Macklin spent his first four NFL seasons with the Colts.

A native of Virginia, he attended Menchville High School in Newport News, V.A., before moving on to Penn State, where he was a three-year starter for the Nittany Lions and tied for the Big Ten Conference lead in interceptions during his junior season with six. David Macklin was a Business Logistics major at Penn State. Mr. Macklin states “27Reasons Charitable Foundation is designed to install values in our young generation that will equip them with the tools to become successful leaders.”
