SilverRack Announces New Features and Ruby on Rails VPS Templates

SilverRack, provider of virtual private server (VPS) hosting, today announced the release of new features available to all users of its services. SilverRack's server management application now allows customers to create backup snapshot images of their servers on demand. Additionally, SilverRack added a specialized Ruby on Rails template to its list of available VPS templates.

SilverRack's snapshot functionality allows users to create and restore images of their custom virtual servers. Users simply purchase as many images as they need. Snapshot images offer users many benefits. For example:

* Snapshots can function as backups of server data.
* Users can create custom test environments which can be reused.
* A faulty software upgrade can be reverted by restoring from a snapshot image.
