Concord, N.C. — Concord’s newest restaurant, Max’s Ally, is under the experienced management leadership of Sheri Julian. Named managing partner, Julian is responsible for a 40-member associate staff and the operations of the 125-seat restaurant serving family-inspired dinners and Sunday brunch. According to Jon Dressler, who owns and operates both Dresslers Restaurant in Birkdale and Max’s Ally in Afton Village with his wife Kim, Julian was the perfect choice to be managing partner for Max’s Ally.
“Sheri and I both worked at Morton’s The Steakhouse Uptown. When I left to open Dresslers, she became their general manager. Her emphasis on customer service, her eye for detail, as well as her strong work ethic and restaurant knowledge are exceptional in our industry,” Dressler said. Julian has been recognized by Morton’s for her management skills.
“To me, a restaurant’s success is achieved one guest at a time,” said Julian. “My goal is make each and every guest feel how important they are to us while they’re enjoying a delicious meal in a friendly, casual environment.”
A West Virginia native, Julian was a psychology major at the University of North Carolina Charlotte (UNCC) and has worked in the hospitality industry since the age of 16. In addition to her management experience at Morton’s, she was the beverage manager at the Park Hotel and Carmel Country Club in Charlotte.
Working closely with Julian on the restaurant management team is assistant general manager Stefan Stanton, formerly an assistant manager and waiter at Morton’s, and assistant manager Matt Lam who rotates duties between Max’s Ally and Dresslers. The executive chef for Max’s Ally is Brendon Murphy, a Johnson & Wales University graduate, who served as Dressler’s sous chef for the past three years. Max’s Ally Restaurant’s sous chef is Jarrod Crytzer.
Max’s Ally is named for the Dresslers’ two young children, Max and Ally. The restaurant is designed to be kid-friendly with a relaxing atmosphere for adults to enjoy a memorable meal and a glass of fine wine or cocktail. The restaurant is open for dinner nightly at 5:00 p.m. with a Sunday brunch from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Entrées range in price from $11 to $25 with salads, sandwiches and pasta choices starting at $4. A scrumptious kid’s menu was designed with the help of the Dressler children.
Max’s Ally is conveniently located off I-85 at exit 54 in Afton Village at 355 John Galt Way, across from the West Cabarrus YMCA. For further information, please call Max’s Ally at 704-721-6297 or visit www.maxsally.com.
