Fine Dining at Loseley Park is to receive a makeover, by the stately home’s on-site caterers in a move to ensure that the freshest, most seasonal ingredients are used in their Fine Dining menus and all catering at Loseley.JMK Classic Catering’s Managing Director, Michael Newton-Young, is behind the move to enhance what is an already highly thought of gastronomic offering at Loseley, whilst at the same time providing increased support to local producers and suppliers.
Mr Newton-Young, a short-listed candidate for the noted Master of Culinary Arts award in 2005, (the ultimate accolade in the UK in the areas of cooking, patisserie and food & wine service), says, “We want to ensure that our menus are seasonally reflective and to achieve this we have decided that local producers will provide the best seasonal options. We also anticipate that this choice will be locally beneficial.”
Indeed, a report conducted in 2004 by Datamonitor showed that the popularity of fine dining was on the increase, with people in the UK spending over £1000 per capita on fine foods. Andrew Russell, Consumer Markets Analyst at Datamonitor and author of the report, said, “One of the most important trends in grocery over the past ten years has been the emergence of the market for organic, natural and fresh produce.”
“We believe that any dish on any menu is enhanced by the ingredients used and therefore our focus is always on the freshest produce. Buying locally just means that this is more easily done and makes our menus greener. This is largely due to the reduced transport time and distance required to deliver the ingredients to our ‘doorstep’,” adds Mr Newton-Young.
Here is what some of Loseley’s clients and visitors have said:
“Outstanding catering and service made everything extremely smoothly handled on the day. Thank you to all the team.”
“The service we received was fantastic. Great value for money, the food and atmosphere was excellent.”
“I just need an excuse to come again! We have had so many complimentary ‘thank-you’ letters congratulating us on the venue, service, food and ambience. Thank you”.
“Locally sourced excellent lunch at very reasonable cost.”
Mike More-Molyneux, owner of Loseley Park, says, “We believe that Loseley Park is an ideal venue for the very best in fine dining and we have been encouraged by its success since we launched the concept three years ago.
“Our fine dining and overall catering provision are features of Loseley, as a venue, that fit perfectly with our philosophy of providing an unrivalled service in a unique atmosphere and surroundings. The new menus will, we are sure, enhance it still further.”
With a venue once patronised by Kings and Queens in the 16th and 17th centuries, fine dining aficionados and indeed anyone organising a corporate/private event or a wedding can enjoy the sumptuous fare offered at Loseley and really live, and feast, like a king!
