November 16, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Hip Hop artist Cam'ron is back with his new mixtape entitled "Public Enemy #1" with help from Bronx producer Skitzo. Although many have thought that Cam'ron left Hip Hop alone with rumors of feuding with Jim Jones, clashing with Tru Life and beef with 50 Cent, Skitzo was there for it all. While Cam'ron was away from the music scene, Skitzo was in the studio producing tracks "Glitter," "Calm Down," "Let Me Know," and 7 other tracks on the free mixtape. Skitzo has been a key player for encouraging Cam'ron to succeed through the drama and during his family crisis.
Many Dipset fans have heard of the underground producer's work including "Best Out," "Losing My Love," and Co-production of "Mic Check." He has worked along side known producers Scram Jones, the Heat Makerz and Neo Da Matrix. Skitzo has recently appeared in articles for Crunk Magazine Weekly and Illmuzik.com and on 106 & Park's "Freestyle Friday" battling against, rapper, Jin.
His latest project is called "Skitzo's Scorecard," a mixtape which includes all of his production work with artists, the Diplomats, Papoose, Paul Wall and J. Armz. Skitzo will also have 2 additional mixtapes as a follow up every month. Skitzo is musically inclined in 5 instruments, including the piano, guitar, bongos, drums and bass. "Many critics believe that Hip Hop is dead, but in fact I believe that it is not dead, but saturated." He has polished his skills to show creativity, making a new sound and veering from producers sounding too similar.
Skitzo is the CEO of Frenyc Entertainment, which many viewers hear in the start of any song he produced, saying "Frenyc Entertainment," in a voice-over. In 2005, Skitzo produced his label's first CD/DVD, "Welcome to Frenycville." His work has been included in EA Sports Fight Night: Round 3, which Skitzo is very proud of considering he planned to attend an art institute in Florida before he entered the music industry. He does plan to have his own cartoon show in the near future to showcase his drawing abilities. Visit Skitzo's myspace page www.myspace.com/skitzofrenyc
