Jewels by Park Lane Joins With Toys for Tots

Schaumburg, IL – Nov. 15, 2007 – The Holiday season is a time to give as well as receive. Schaumburg-based Jewels by Park Lane is taking this adage to heart by helping the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve collect toys for their annual Toys for Tots program. Jewels by Park Lane representatives in the Chicago area will be gathering toys at their home parties and making toy donations to help the 2nd Battalion 24th Marines reach their goal of providing toys for needy children. This Battalion is currently deployed, making their toy collection program more urgent this year.

The offices of Jewels by Park Lane, which are located at 100 E. Commerce Drive in Schaumburg, IL, will also serve as a collection center for toy donations. Anyone wishing to make donations can drop them off between 9am and 5pm any weekday before Dec. 18th.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
