Latest DocuSys Technology Addresses P4P, National Quality Measures

DocuSys, a leading anesthesia information management system (AIMS) and medication management system provider, has announced solutions in the latest version of its software (Version 6.0) that facilitate a healthcare provider’s ability to comply with national quality measures such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) and pay-for-performance (P4P) programs.

With nearly 150 quality measure programs in the healthcare industry today and more anticipated in the next few years, DocuSys provides compliance support as embedded functionality in its AIMS application. Features within the application intuitively prompt healthcare providers to evaluate appropriateness of specific quality measures, allow real-time documentation at the point of care and automate comprehensive reporting tools to demonstrate compliance and evaluate practice patterns.

Many of the quality measure programs are tied to reimbursement rates, bonus plans and service contracts for physicians and hospitals. The ability to capture key information throughout a patient’s care such as existing illnesses that are present on admission (POA) and antibiotic delivery during care can affect reimbursement. Enhancements in Version 6.0 help to increase reimbursements for both healthcare facilities and providers in meeting the objectives of quality initiatives with facility-specific protocols and thorough documentation.
