RALEIGH, N.C. – Gynecology and Laparoscopic Surgeons, P.C. (www.glsi.info), has announced that Dr. Lisa Roberts, the practice’s owner, is participating in the 36th Global Congress of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, sponsored by the AAGL (formerly the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists). The AAGL Global Congress, which is Tuesday, Nov. 13 through Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C., is the pre-eminent meeting for physicians interested in providing optimal patient care through minimally-invasive gynecology. Dr. Roberts will help teach a hands-on, practice-development course on laparoscopic suturing in the “vertical zone” on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 7:45 a.m.-5-15 p.m., chair a Meet the Professors Roundtable Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from noon-1 p.m and co-moderate an open communication session on adhesions and severe endometriosis on Friday, Nov. 16 from 3:35-5:05 p.m. Conceptus®, the makers of Essure®, an alternative to surgical tubal ligation that requires no incisions, so there are no scars, has asked Dr. Roberts to be available at their display on Friday, Nov. 16 from 9-11 a.m. as a physician advisor on the benefits of bringing the Essure® procedure out of the operating room and into the office.Dr. Roberts is a board-certified gynecologist and graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
