Online Higher Education Leader Northcentral University Appoints Dr. Clinton Gardner President

Prescott Valley, AZ – November 14, 2007 – Northcentral University (www.ncu.edu), an innovator in 100% online higher education, today announced that Clinton D. Gardner, Ph.D. has been named the third president in the university’s history. Board of Trustees chair Martin Gottlieb stated, “Northcentral University is fortunate to be able to attract such an experienced and skilled chief executive. Dr. Clinton Gardner’s successful and impressive record of professional accomplishments in higher education and business makes him the most qualified person to lead Northcentral University towards its goal to become one of the country’s premier universities.” Dr. Clinton Gardner officially takes over the presidency of NCU’s online higher education on December 3, 2007. Prior to his appointment at NCU, Dr. Gardner served as President of Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona from January 2003 to the present. In this role, Gardner also served as the Chief Academic Officer of an institution with undergraduate and graduate programs in business, education and psychology. He provided leadership during an expansive period in the history of Argosy, as it experienced over 200% growth in student enrollment.

Dr. Clinton Gardner earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University, and he held numerous leadership positions at Michigan State University and Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan. During his 25 year career, Gardner has held positions in higher education that include University President, Senior Vice President for Management, Vice President for Finance and Administration and Vice President for Enrollment Management.
