HOUSTON, TX, November 13, 2007 – Houston personal fitness trainer Tom Jackobs earned first place in the Texas State Championship bodybuilding competition—and he credits the win to his self-designed weight control program. “It has been a lot of hard work, determination, and sacrifice for the past 10 months as I prepared for my first contest,” Jackobs says. “With the help of my nutritionist, coach and choreographer—along with knowledge from my own Houston weight management program at Body3 Personal Fitness—it all paid off in the end.” The personal fitness trainer pursued his first bodybuilding competition in the novice lightweight division at the Texas State Championships, sponsored by LaBrada Nutrition. Even with credentials as a nationally and Houston certified personal trainer , personal life coach, and rehabilitation specialist, Jackobs relied on his own fitness team to get him in ultimate, tip-top shape. At his first session with the nutritionist, Jackobs weighed 172.75 pounds with 13 percent body fat. On the day of the Houston-area competition, Jackobs weighed in at 156 with 3.3 percent body fat.
“I learned so much from my fitness team that I can adapt to the needs of my own personal fitness clients,” Jackobs says. “Learning about and experiencing the effect of food on the body and how to manipulate food to get the desired results will be a great asset to my Houston clients.”
As a personal fitness trainer, Jackobs enjoys helping others achieve their fitness goals. After achieving fitness success in his own life, Jackobs – who is owner and founder of Houston-based Body3 Personal Fitness – pursued a fitness career when he lost 40 pounds in a self-designed life-changing shape-up program.
Today he helps clients with a variety of fitness options that include:
— personal fitness trainer
— vacation fitness trainer
— eTraining
— life coaching.
A niche personal fitness option focuses on brides. Called the Wedding Workout TM, Jackobs and several of his bridal clients appeared recently on KHOU-TV’s Great Day Houston. The Wedding Workout regimen incorporates strength and cardio training which prepares brides for their special day.
Recently, Jackobs earned certification from Diet Master Pro, administered by Phoenix-based Lifestyles Technologies, Inc. The personal fitness expert says this certification provides his Houston clients access to the proprietary Diet Pro software, which configures meal plans and grocery lists in minutes as well as tracking weight control goals and nutritional assessments.
“My clients can safely lose between five and 10 pounds in just four weeks,” says Jackobs, “if they follow my nutrition advice. Combining nutrition with a faithful cardio and strength training regimen can change more than your body—it can change your life.”
