SAM - STORE AND MOVE PROVIDES PORTABLE STORAGE CONTAINERS FOR SAN DIEGO FIRE RELIEF EFFORTS

ST. LOUIS, Mo., Nov. 12, 2007 – SAM - Store and Move, an emerging leader in portable moving and storage solutions, has donated its service and containers to the wildfire relief efforts in and around San Diego, Calif., as part of the “SAM Lends a Hand” initiative. Making use of the SAM Support Center, a nationwide network of dealers and by working closely with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), SAM - Store and Move is able to get containers to locations where they are most needed.

“SAM - Store and Move was compelled to help the people of Southern California following the devastation of the recent wildfires. We recognized the need for safely storing basic necessities such as drinking water, sanitary supplies and food, and absolutely wanted to make our services and SAM - Store and Move containers available,” said Tom McCormick, president of SAM - Store and Move.

Currently, the “SAM Lends a Hand” effort has placed SAM - Store and Move containers at three main relief sites. The Rancho Bernardo-Glassman Recreation Center, currently serving as an evacuation center, has received three containers, which are being used to store food donations. The La Jolla Indian Reservation in Pauma Valley, Calif., has received three SAM - Store and Move containers. The Mountain View Community Church in Ramona, Calif., has received a donation of six containers; Ramona is currently without accessible drinking water, and SAM - Store and Move containers are being used to store an available supply of this vital necessity.

“By working in collaboration with FEMA and our strong network of dealers, we will continue to provide SAM - Store and Move containers to assist with the fire relief efforts in the San Diego area,” said McCormick. “We are proud to be able to offer our support and assistance at this difficult time.”
