The weekly programme, Click, broadcast at various times on BBC News 24 and BBC World channels, recently featured gnuTrade (www.gnutrade.com) in its Webscape segment, which talks about websites that are worth a visit. In the show, TV presenter and ‘technology pundit’ Kate Russell, points out that gnuTrade offers a new take for those wanting to play the world's stock markets and goes on to give viewers a visual demonstration of gnuTrade’s unique Trading screen.
As well as highlighting the ‘Back a Player’, News feed, and Play and Real money options, Kate draws attention to gnuTrade’s striking graphics. “Past performance is beautifully illustrated,” she says, “with graphics that relay market movements in an easy to understand way.”
Lieven Van Marcke, managing director and founder of gnuTrade, which was launched earlier this year, says:
“GnuTrade’s Back a Player facility is a trading option which no other gaming or trading company offers, and we are pleased that the BBC show recognises the potential for play money traders to make real cash if they attract a real money player to back them.
“The positive TV coverage reinforces our belief that gnuTrade is the next big step in online trading, using gamelike graphics to make financial trading accessible to everyone.”
The Click episode featuring gnuTrade was aired at various times in the week commencing October 13, on BBC News 24 and BBC World TV channels. The story about gnuTrade begins 19 minutes in to the show, and may be viewed by going to the Click video archives on the BBC website (www.bbc.co.uk).
