City-based IT software development house Coublis has left a lasting impression with insurers across the country after unveiling its unique web-based claims supply chain management application at this year’s Institute of Economic Affairs Annual Conference.Designed for use by Brokers, Insurers, Loss Adjusters and Suppliers, it is the first total end-to-end web-based hub solution of its kind and has already been proven in the household claims market, substantially reducing both the cost of claim handling and the time taken to settle claims.
“ClaimsDesk can transform the claims handling process, providing much greater visibility and control of claims progress and significantly lowering the per-claim administrative cost. Service to the policyholder is improved through better communication and faster claim resolution” explains director and founder Colville Wood.
Founded in 2004 by Colville (formerly the Solutions Architect for EMEA Region at Computer Sciences Corporation), Coublis provides cost-effective on-demand business solutions for insurance and other industries.
The application was developed in partnership with Frontline Online, a leading hub-based insurance claim fulfilment company. Since adopting the platform in late 2006, Frontline has doubled the number of claims handled by the existing claims team and has halved the time to settle.
ClaimsDesk was formally launched on 31st October during ‘The Future of General Insurance Claims & Claims Management Day’ at Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London, exhibiting alongside high profile providers including CSC, SSP, Harlosh and Sun Microsytems.
“Coublis have made a fantastic entrance at this year’s conference and they have certainly gained the attention of a number of key players in the industry with their ClaimsDesk application” says Juliet Knight, Director of Marketforce Communications, organisers of the event.
