SongDoor 2007 Competition Entry Deadline is Nov. 15th

NASHVILLE, TENN., USA - November 8, 2007 — The SongDoor 2007 International Songwriting Competition entry deadline is November 15. Entrants can complete the entire entry process, including song and lyric uploads, through the SongDoor website (www.songdoor.com).“We’ve had entries from Reno to Russia,” explains SongDoor president Tony Zotta. “Our judges have been so impressed by the diversity and creativity of the songs this year,” said Zotta, adding that the quality of this year's entries will make choosing the winners a challenging task.
Everyone who enters receives a free self-paced online songwriting course from SongU.com, and each song receives a free professional critique, both with no obligation. The Grand Award package is worth approximately $21,000 USD. The fee is $10 USD per entry. Mailed entries must be postmarked by November 15, 2007; online entries will be accepted until midnight, November 15, 2007 (Central Standard Time, US).
Judges include seasoned music industry producers, artists and engineers who have worked with/for such artists as Britney Spears, Neil Young, Jimmy Buffett, Garth Brooks, *NSYNC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire, Kenny Rogers, Tony Bennett, The Allman Brothers,The Marshall Tucker Band and have recorded on major labels including EPIC Records and ATCO/Atlantic.
