Valtech launches certification programme to aid business agilty

Software development consultancy, Valtech, has launched its Agile Certification Programme to give clients a thorough introduction to Agile methodologies. Forming part of Valtech’s Performance OnDemand service, the programme seeks to consolidate the many different interpretations of Agile methods across the industry, into the most pragmatic approach.

Agile techniques break down an application development project into short two- to four-week iterations, each treated as a “mini-project” which is planned, scoped out, designed, coded and tested before moving onto the next phase. Input from the business and its users is included every step of the way, so that the resulting application matches the business requirement as closely as possible.

“How to ensure success in an Agile environment”, is a two-day Agile Certification training session, delivered by experienced Valtech consultants. It will introduce the philosophy behind Agile methodologies and provide attendees with hands-on experience of iterative planning and daily “scrum” meetings, where developers discuss their progress, actions for the day and any possible challenges.
