DAT Wins Deal with Major U.S. Mobile Operator DAT Mobility Platform Selected for Over-The-Air Device Management of Handsets / Major Licensing Agreement Signed

London, 6 July 2005. - DAT Group plc (DAT), a leading developer of mobile device management software, announces a multi-million dollar deal with a leading U.S. mobile phone operator. Under the terms of the deal, DAT will provide its DAT Mobility Platform (DMP) as an important component in the operator's mobile device management strategy.

The U.S. operator will utilise DMP-powered applications to provide over-the-air device management of phone settings, firmware updates, content and device diagnostics to millions of unique handsets.

Centralised mobile device management is a critical factor in enabling operators to provision phone settings, firmware updates, content and device diagnostics on mobile phones while lowering their support costs.
