WARE MALCOMB ANNOUNCES DESIGN COMPLETED AND CONSTRUCTION BEGUN FOR MARTIN FURNITURE

Otay Mesa, California – Leading Design firm Ware Malcomb has completed design and announces construction has begun for Martin Furniture, two build-to-suit furniture warehouse buildings, being developed by Martin Furniture of San Diego, California. The project is located within the Britannia Industrial Park at 2345 Britannia Boulevard and 2350 Siempre Viva Court in Otay Mesa, California. Master planned and designed by Ware Malcomb, Britannia Industrial Park includes eighteen industrial warehouse buildings totaling approximately 245,000 square feet on 17 acres.

Ware Malcomb offers planning, architecture, interior design, graphic design and site development services to commercial real estate clients throughout North America. The firm’s San Diego office is providing architectural and interior design services for these two build-to-suit industrial buildings, totaling approximately 211,580 square feet. The project serves as a corporate relocation for Martin Furniture, a furniture manufacturer of home and office products, outstanding in style, quality and service. The larger of the two Martin Furniture facilities will be approximately 107,680 square feet; including 88,680 square feet of warehouse, 15,000 square feet of office and a 4,000 square foot shipping/receiving annex. The second building totaling 103,900 square feet, will consist entirely of warehouse space.

Hamann Companies of El Cajon, California is the General Contractor on the project. Allen & Associates Real Estate Consultants of Del Mar, California is serving as the Owner’s representative on this project. Construction is estimated to be complete in June of 2008.
