Bangkok , Thailand – 4 November 2007. AKCP Inc., the oldest and largest manufacturer of SNMP-based devices for environmental and security monitoring solutions introduces a major upgrade to the securityProbe. AKCP have extended the functionality and ease of use with the release of a new firmware for their state of the art securityProbe. These updates include additions to the sensor mapping feature, multi lingual interface support, upgraded video frames rate for the cameras and the addition of notification escalation.
The sensor mapping feature has been improved with the addition of a map wizard. This wizard guides the user through the process of adding multiple maps and live sensors to the interface. The maps are now displayable in full screen mode integrated with the sensor information, giving the user immediate graphical feedback as to a sensors status. The mapping feature is ideal for control room situations where quickly identifying the location of a sensor and its status is paramount.
Building on AKCP's status as the international leader in SNMP monitoring devices, multilingual capabilities have been added. This latest firmware upgrade enables the user to select from, English, German, French, Dutch and Italian. Chinese and Spanish will be added shortly. Additional languages can easily be created for inclusion in future firmware releases.
AKCP has increased the video frames per second up to 30 fps at 320 x 240 resolution, and 15 frames per second for the 640 x 480 image. Users can still attach up to 4 video cameras at lower per camera frame rate. Users can supply their own external video cameras such as low light, infrared or low cost analog security cameras. AKCP also supplies up to 4 optional motorized dome cameras including high quality Sony CCD image sensors.
The new notification escalation feature adds easy creation of escalation procedures to the already powerful notification wizard. The user now can choose what action to take after a specified time if a notification is not acknowledged. Escalations can be setup using any of the securityProbe's notification possibilities, for example SNMP traps, e-mail, SMS, MMS, alarm sound/light, relay output control or a telephone call.
