AcctVantage ERP Celebrates 20 Years of Success

AcctVantage ERP began its long run in 1987 as ‘A4, accounting software for the rest of us.’ Its early focus was on flexibility and extreme ease of use with the goal of making professional-grade, double-entry accounting manageable for regular people.

In its infancy, the software was available only on the Macintosh operating system. 1997 brought the release of a cross-platform version and the product today continues to fully support both the Macintosh OS and Windows.

For many years, A4 was a successful launching pad for industry specific customizations across the US. A4 became ‘Foresight Financials’ in 1998 and gained world-class inventory management functionality formerly available only in much more expensive software.

In 2003, the software became ‘AcctVantage ERP’ and the focus changed from customization to a commercial application with full accounting, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and MRP (Materials Resource Planning) functions. AcctVantage ERP is priced competitively to support small businesses with enterprise business needs.
