Comdasys extends its Fixed Mobile Convergence Solution to include 3G UMTS and GPRS Networks

Boston and Munich, - Comdasys, a leading and trusted supplier of Fixed to Mobile Convergence (FMC) solutions for enterprises and service providers, today announced that it has extended its FMC solution to include UMTS and packed switched GPRS networks.

With the extension to 3G UMTS and GPRS, users of the Comdasys FMC solution can now use features such as Presence and Instant Messaging even when they are not in range of a WLAN Hotspot. “By integrating cutting edge features such as Instant Messaging and Presence and by expanding the usability of our FMC Solution through UMTS and GPRS we further underline our strategy that is very much about increasing availability and usability” said Martin Bitzinger, CTO of Comdasys. “End users will be able to place and receive calls and/or messages, whether they are in range of a GSM, GRSP or 3G UMTS or WiFi network.
