Creative Thinkers International Tracks Steady Growth

November 01, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
November 2007 saw the quiet but steady growth of Creative Thinkers International, a thriving online community of authors, musicians, painters, poets, educators, environmentalists, and other progressive personalities from all over the world.

Created by the U.S. author Aberjhani, a former editor for the U.S. Air Force and co-author of “Encyclopedia of the Harlem Renaissance,” the community is hosted by the Ning collective at http://www.creativethinkersintl.ning.com/ .

“A year ago I would have fainted at the thought of embarking on such a venture,” said Aberjhani, “but on the one hand technological advances in 2007 made it more feasible. And on the other it seemed a good way at this point in my career to make a contribution to helping the world get its act together as opposed to just complaining about everything that’s wrong with it.”

True to its name, Creative Thinkers International, also known as the CTI Initiative, currently accommodates a very diverse number of talents from around the globe. Among them are: the Philippine artist and author Danny C. Sillada, the French poet and playwright Cendrine Marrouat; U.S. author (“Sacred Vows”) CG Walters; U.S. poets Mitzi Jackson and Allison A. Hedge Coke, and far too many others to list here. The multi-talented British musician and artist Don Dean is the site’s first and current “Spotlight Artist.”

The free membership at Creative Thinkers International is currently open with guidelines for joining posted on the site’s first page. Its stated objective is “to help inspire creative responses to the challenges and the joys of twenty-first century life through all forms of writing, visual arts, music, social sciences, spiritual awareness, and philosophical inquiry.”
