Company Continues Investment in New Talent and Technology

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Magliozzo joins Shooters following nine years at Crew Cuts, New York; Wardner was with the San Francisco-based Rough House Editorial for five years.

The move is part of the company's overall plan to seek out and invest in versatile new talent - from editorial to design to visual effects and finishing. Last month they welcomed editor/designer David Oberdoester and in early 2007 launched the cinema-services/post boutique DIVE, which focuses on independent films.

"With the post production industry changing so rapidly, it is key to invest in new talent that can do a lot of different things well," said Ray Caballada, Shooters' COO. "Chris and Michael can not only work on a number of different systems - ranging from Avid to Final Cut to Flame and After Effects — but their experience working in national advertising, films and broadcast television fits our vision of the future of post production."

Chris Magliozzo:
Magliozzo started out in the Crew Cuts mailroom and steadily worked his way up to full-time editor working with agencies such as BBDO, Vigilante (part of Leo Burnett) and The Brooklyn Brothers on numerous large national ad campaigns for Pizza Hut, Buick, EA Sports, Partnership for a Drug Free America and Smart Bargain.com. His primary creative tools are Avid, Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects. He'll also soon add Autodesk Fire as well.

"Having grown up in Southern New Jersey and gone to college in Philadelphia, I've always loved the city, but didn't think there was enough good work happening there to consider moving from New York. Then I discovered Shooters," said Magliozzo. "They have the future post production business model with everything under one roof, but with a total boutique feel and commitment to customer service. What I also like about them is that they're not married to any particular niche. It's refreshing to walk into a post house where so much seems to be happening at any time - advertising, network promos, feature films, television and internet. I'm very excited to be here and back in Philly."

Michael Wardner:
Born and raised in Irvine, CA, Wardner got his first taste of the post production industry at the now-defunct, LA-based facility Veratel [CK SP]. Following stints at Wild Brain and Radium, both in San Francisco, he quickly developed a reputation for his expertise with Auto Desk's Flame and Smoke platforms, on-line editing, color-correct and compositing for short and long-form projects in HD, SD and film.

In 2001 he joined Rough Editorial where he worked on commercials, documentaries, feature-length films and corporate videos for such clients as McCann Erickson, Microsoft Xbox, J Walter Thompson, LucasFilm, Genentech, Cisco, PeopleSoft, Symantec, AMD, Intel, Winton-DuPont.

In addition to Rough House, Wardner also worked with post house, The Orphanage, on such features as Robert Rodriguez's The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl; I Know I'm Not Alone, a long-form documentary directed by musician Michael Franti; and the documentary, 24 Hours on Craig's List.

"What I love about Shooters is how you can go through the whole process in one place," said Wardner, "They are so diversified in terms of what they can do technology-wise and also the kind of projects they work on. By seeing the place and talking with Ray you get the feeling that they have figured out how to run a post house in 2007 and avoid the missteps many others made. I'm looking forward to contributing to what they're building."
