(NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE — October 31th, 2007) Stars for Stripes, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing celebrity entertainment to troops deployed overseas, featured Aaron Tippin at the AUSA (Association of the U.S. Army) Annual Conference in Washington D.C. For the third year, Stars for Stripes provided entertainment at the conference for the U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR). Aaron performed Tuesday, October 9th, at the USAREUR reception for active army personnel, national guard, reserves, retirees, government civilians, and family members. Attendees were treated to Aaron’s #1 hits "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly" and "You've Got to Stand for Something." This was Aaron's second year headlining the event.
Prior to his performances at the AUSA Conference, Aaron spent the day visiting patients at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Following the performance, Aaron signed autographs for the attendees and spent time visiting with several wounded servicemen.
Aaron will participate in an MWR / Stars For Stripes Tour in the Persian Gulf during the holidays. It will be his third tour of the region entertaining troops fighting the Iraq war. Aaron performed with Bob Hope in the first Gulf War and visited with soldiers in Afghanistan in 2002.
While touring the U.S., Aaron regularly donates his time performing for charities and special events that honor the U.S. Military.
