Tattoo Removal Center Focuses on People, Not Profit

Los Angeles, CA – October 26, 2007 – With its founding mission rooted firmly in community service, it is no wonder that the Tattoo Removal Center sees thousands of inked Californians flood through their doors each year. From ex-gang members to soccer moms, to business executives, the center’s eclectic clientele visit from near and far for the same reason: a professional and affordable way to remove the vestiges of their past.In 2002, doctor and nurse team Thomas Simerson and Cynthia Moore paired up to offer ex-gang members and troubled youth an affordable way to shed the visible reminders of their past.
“Many of these people are in a transitional stage in life and have difficulty finding jobs,” says Dr. Simerson. “Some informed us that prospective employers were a bit hesitant and sometimes judgmental when they saw their tattoos. Tattoo removal helps them move on with their lives and land a good job.”
After helping hundreds re-assimilate into their respective communities, the TRC team soon realized there were plenty of others who also needed their tattoos removed for an affordable price. The Tattoo Removal Center was formed to meet that need.
“We provide the best service at a cost much lower than the going rate because people want to get this done,” says Dr. Simerson. “There’s such a large segment of the community that cannot afford it, and we strive to help them.”
True to their word, TRC’s pricing model goes well below that of their direct competitors. Patients can expect to pay as little as a quarter of that charged by neighboring centers.
One such patient, Stephanie Fullmer, was left with expensive bills and a scarred arm after a horrible experience with a plastic surgeon in Florida.
“When I first found out about TRC, I was shocked about how much more affordable the pricing is here,” says Fullmer. “In the past, I was paying $400 per treatment! Now I’m paying nearly a quarter the price […] I’m even getting better care here at TRC and the laser they use is the same as the doctor in Florida.”
While the Tattoo Removal Center has expanded its model so that nearly anyone can afford treatment, the founders are sticking true to their philanthropic roots. In January of ‘08, TRC is expected to launch a new non-profit aimed at offering free tattoo removals in exchange for community service.
With two centers currently open, patients can expect the same knowledgeable and attentive staff, and more importantly, tattoo removal with minimal cost and maximum care.
