Soccer Coaching Books - Final Instalment of Deliberate Practice Series Now Published

August 8, 2017 - Publisher of Soccer Coaching Books - Bennion Kearny - is delighted to announce the final instalment in "The Deliberate Soccer Practice" series. Entitled "Deliberate Soccer Practice: 50 Small-Sided Football Games to Improve Decision-Making", the book is aimed at football coaches of all levels, but with a particular emphasis on coaches who work with youth players.

The book is comprised of 50 practices, and carefully designed to be adaptable to suit the true needs of players that soccer coaches work with. Sections include: Possession-Based Small-Sided Games (SSGs), SSGs for Attacking and Finishing, SSGs for Defending, SSGs for Goalkeepers, SSGs for Transitions and Restarts, and Other Varieties of SSG.

The DSP series is comprised of four books, each containing 50 exercises to improve decision making. They are (in publication order) Passing and Possession Exercises, Defending, Attacking, and Small-Sided Games.

About Ray Power. Ray Power is a former Academy Coach, Academy Manager and FA Coach Educator. He is now the Technical Director in Tanzania, working alongside Sunderland AFC, and the Tanzanian Football Federation as coach educator and Elite Football Academy manager. Ray also leads extensive talent identification projects in the country. Ray is also a former teacher and author of several other books based around youth soccer development.
