Unified Platform Management, Inc. (UPM), a Delaware corporation, today announced an affordable drop-in replacement solution for hotel owners using HT20 or HT22 encoders. The replacement system, powered by their flagship ModuLock software, allows hotel owners to use standard magnetic stripe encoders for creating their key cards rather than the proprietary solutions they are currently forced to use.

"In today's tough economy, hotel owners are striving just to keep their doors open," said CEO Jason Radolec. "By offering an affordable choice for the front desk, we [UPM] hope to break the lock-in that dominates the industry today."

The system can be purchased as a standalone product for $1500 at www.upmsolutions.com. Customers can also choose to purchase the product as part of a support package by providing a $500 down payment.

Currently, the product is aimed at smaller hotels, but work is already being done to prepare for larger properties. "Moving forward, we [UPM] aim to reshape the hotel after-market industry by providing the products and services that are needed to run a larger hotel at a price that even the smallest of hotels can afford," said Jason.
